Business in a box!
We had just moved premises and realised we had to have our statutory notices and documents. We had packed them away, and like anything else, we couldn’t find them. In the hustle and bustle of the move, we couldn’t remember where we’d stowed them. It’s frustrating because you just want to get on and run the business.
It wasn’t until we found some time and the “accident report book” did we start to think what we actually needed.
In a recent new start up I was involved with, the very same problem arose and we needed to make sure we were “office legal”.
So for a basic business, employing more than 1 person you need the following:
Accident report book
First aid kit ( size depends of number of employees )
Insurance display notice (employees liability policy)
Health and safety policy
Business continuity plan/box
Fire extinguishers (numbers depend on office/ factory size)
Fire marshal hi vis vest
Fire policy manual
